Your Mission
To improve the user experience for is plug-and-play interfaces for space hardware, SpaceLocker is looking to expand its embedded software team. Overall, you will be part of the hardware and software integration and validation process, as well as provide technical support to SpaceLocker’s users.
In this position, you will work with various teams to:
- Apply your skills and discover a very wide range of topics, from creating a ground support equipment with embedded hardware to writing and running a product validation procedure,
- Imagine, specify and implement, integration and functional verification tests for a wide kind of software products, linked or not to embedded systems,
- Advise, train and support SpaceLocker’s customers with their issues using our tools, to help them create the most efficient space payloads,
- Take part in the design, implementation and validation of things that are going to space for real !

For this opportunity, compensation package is 35-45k€ before tax, with an additional 10% performance bonus. 5 week paid vacation, some remote work.

Hard skills:
- You have higher education in STEM and a formal training in software development, embedded systems, or space systems engineering,
- You have one to three years of professional experiences with systems in an industrial setting (trains, cars, robots, rockets, etc.), including some experience relating to systems integration (tests, stimulation, emulation, support equipment),
- You have a good knowledge of programming, including languages like Python or Java, and C, C++ or Rust,
- You are familiar with space systems, either through professional, personal or school projects,
Soft skills:
- You take responsibility, show autonomy and are not afraid of improvisation. The startup world is a bit messy sometimes, and we’ll need your help on unexpected topics,
- You have a “tinkerer”/”maker” mindset, for software and hardware,
- You like people, and you are a good and clear communicator: this is partly a public-facing job.
