Wheere, the French startup behind breakthrough indoor positioning technology, has chosen SpaceLocker to carry its inaugural demo mission into orbit. This strategic collaboration marks Wheere’s bold step from sub‑surface precision to space‑based innovation—and sets a new trajectory for global positioning technology.
Founded in 2021, Wheere has already revolutionized indoor geolocation with sub‑meter accuracy using low‑frequency signals and proprietary algorithms. Having deployed its system in hospitals, industrial sites, tunnels, and even during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Wheere brings its proven expertise to a new frontier: space.
Using SpaceLocker’s hosted payload services, Wheere will demonstrate its positioning technology in Low Earth Orbit. This first-of-its-kind orbital demo aims to validate Wheere performance beyond terrestrial environments and pave the way for the deployment of its LEO PNT (Positioning Navigation & Timing) Constellation set to lift off in the coming years to provide global high precision positioning.

As all missions sent by SpaceLocker, this demonstration will be hosted onboard a shared spacecraft using the company’s universal hosting technology. Additional details on mission manifest and integration will be announced in the coming months.
